The Cost of the Met Police Enquiry into Madeleine McCann

I have no reason to believe this isn’t genuine. I find it staggering that the Metropolitan Police Service have spent £4.7 million investigating a missing person (albeit a child) who went missing in another country nearly 7 years ago. I accept the money may well have come from the Home Office but those 37 MPS employees are primarily employed to investigate major incidents in London NOT Portugal. For nearly three years they have been re-investigating an incident in another country. How is that ‘Making London a Safer Place’?

How many other parents with missing children have met the Prime Minister and secured the services of the largest police force in the UK? I already know the answer to that – none!
